WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
I am based in Leicester but happy to shoot weddings just about anywhere! If a venue isn't in the East Midlands I will travel down the day before and stay over so I don't get caught in a traffic jam or encounter any other reason which may make me late. Like wise I always leave ample time to get to any venue for this reason.
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
To book just get in touch and if you like what I offer I will send you a contract, terms and conditions and the relevant consent forms and you would pay a deposit of £125.00 (non refundable). Whilst your filling out the the contract I will hold your date for 7 days from the time of sending you the paperwork.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR NOT FAMILIAR WITH OUR VENUE?
If your chosen venue is a new one to me, I always arrange to go and view the location/building, this allows me to get a feeling for the grounds, look for nice locations to use for portraits as well as ideas and locations to use if the weather isn't the best.
WE WOULD LIKE A COUPLE PHOTO SHOOT WHERE CAN WE GO?
I'm happy to try and accommodate any location you would like to use, however some parks, properties and gardens require permission and/or a permit to be able to shoot there. The permits vary in cost and would have to be met by the client if this was the case.
WHEN DO WE NEED TO PAY THE REMAINING BALANCE?
The remaining balance is owed two weeks before your wedding day. You are more than welcome to pay in instalments though if that is more convenient.
HOW CAN WE PAY?
I am happy to accept credit/debit card, bank transfer or PayPal.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, I am fully insured with both public liability and public indemnity insurance.
I HAVE AN IDEA FOR A PHOTO, CAN WE TRY IT?
Absolutley, I love it when a couple have some fun ideas, if its possible I'm happy to oblige.
DO YOU HAVE BACKUP EQUIPMENT?
Yes,This has never happened, however I always have additional cameras and lenses, along with extra batteries, memory cards, lighting gear, and anything else I think might come in handy on your wedding day. I even carry a small sewing kit, pins, tissues, water, confetti, small first aid kit and a veil. You just never know when you may need these things.
DO WE NEED TO FEED YOU AT OUR WEDDING?
No, I don't insist on this however it's a long day and I often end up walking well over 7 miles on a typical day and I would be very grateful if you do.
HOW LONG WILL YOU BE AT OUR WEDDING FOR?
This depends on the package you have chosen. See wedding packages.
OUR SCHEDULE IS RUNNING A LITTLE LATE, WILL YOU JUST LEAVE?
No! I know things can sometimes run over a little, I will not just up and leave for one thing its just not professional. If the proceedings are running really behind then extra hours can be booked and added on.
HOW LONG WILL THE GROUP PICTURES TAKE?
Usually I would try to take all of your group pictures within half an hour. I personally recommend you limit the amount to around 10 group pictures, as any more than that can end up eating into your precious time.
WHAT IF IT’S RAINING ON THE DAY?
If you don't mind getting wet then I will just carry on taking photographs as normal! I also carry 2 white umbrellas and a sheet so if you are up for it we can still get out for some lovely outdoor portraits. If you dont fancy being out in the rain then if it stops I may try to persuade you to have some outdoor photographs. I prefer using natural light wherever possible. However I always bring along plenty of lighting equipment, so if it’s really throwing it down outside we can find a nice place inside and take any of the formal portraits that you require there instead.
WHAT IF YOU'RE ILL ON OUR BIG DAY?
This has never happened and I would have to be seriously ill for that to happen so it is very unlikely! But if it did I would use a network of photographers to find a suitable replacement, or if you find your own I will of course offer a full refund.
DO YOU BACKUP THE WEDDING PHOTOS?
A big YES! to this one, I back my photographs up to several hard drives immediately and also upload them to cloud storage.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO RECEIVE MY PICTURES AFTER THE WEDDING DAY?
I try to get all of your images edited and sent out within 4 to 6 weeks. If they are finished any earlier then they will be sent out straight away for you. I’ll also try to get a small sneak-peek of a few of your pictures sent over 24 hours after your wedding.
HOW DO WE VIEW OUR PHOTOS?
Once the editing of your photographs has been finished I send them all out to you on a personalised USB stick in a presentation box. On that same day I upload your pictures to a private online gallery for you, your friends and family to be able to log in to see your photographs.
WILL WE RECIVE A MIX OF COLOUR AND BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHS?
Yes! After my initial editing I go through and select those photographs which I think would look amazing in black and white. Unless you specifically ask for all colour or all black and white that is.
CAN FRIENDS AND FAMILY VIEW THE PHOTOS?
Yes, you can share your digital copies with whomever you like. Family and friends can also order prints via the online gallery or order their own photo albums, or other product with me too.
CAN WE PRINT OUR PHOTOS OURSELVES?
Absolutely, I issue a right to print document to all my clients and you can share them far and wide!
DO YOU DO ALBUMS AND PRINTS?
Yes, I do albums, prints and canvases. I use a professional high quality printing lab. See Wedding Packages for more details.
